       Hope so you are well and good… I am working as a Game Developer. Now, I have to do a Billiards Game. I saw your assets in SellMyApp. That’s the one i need it .. I am gonna purchase that assets soon.. But i have some doubts… Please Clarify it brother…

1) I Don’t know anything about Multi Player. If i purchased that asset, Whether i have to write any code or Whether i have to do any setting change in the Photon?

2) When we play in Multi Player, Whether Chat is possible in this asset?

3) Whether this asset is compatible in All devices like Andorid and IOS?

4) In this asset, Whether more than 2 Players are allowed to play the game in same room? I mean Is it possible to play more than 2 player to join the same game?

5)Whether 9 ball pool is implemented in this asset?

6) Whether its possible to change the language into Arabic? Especially for the chat content. Whether Arabic chat also possible in this asset?

7) What is Single license and Multiple License?

1. You need to create photon and playfab accounts and configure IDs in code.  Everything is explained in documentation

2. There is chat but only predefined messages. Players cannot speak with ‘normal’ chat

5. No, only 8pool rules are implemented

Hi,

We have purchased the template. We are facing a couple of issues:

1. Ball In Hand: Do you have any document stating what things you’re considering for a foul? Many times, Player 1 is playing a legal shot and still, Player 2 gets, ‘Ball In Hand’.

2. Touch Area: While setting up the direction of the cue stick, we are able to adjust it from the area outside, pool table. The problem arises when I’m trying to set the power of cue stick and my direction changes due to this issue.

3. Black Ball: Ideally a player can directly hit the black ball once they have potted the allocated solid / stripe balls. In the game, while setting up the direction, we don’t show red sign on the black ball, allow them to hit the ball and then we award the foul to the opponent. Instead, if we can tell the player beforehand that they are not allowed to the Blackball.

2. Touch area is whole screen except gui elements like power bar, buttons etc. You can adjust size of “touch” area of power bar by editing BoxCollider Size of ShotBackground object in game scene (screenshot)

3. This is how it is implemented. Player should know some rules of pool before playing that game. Ofc you can add such behaviour you require

Hi,
1. I have created a video for 1 point. Watch from the 40th seconds. The shot played by Player 1 on the 50th second is legal shot but still, Player 2 is able to move the ball in next shot.
Is it possible for you to provide a small document on fouls? It will give us more clarity on what is considered as foul and what not.
2. Thank You for guiding us here.
3. Could you please guide us bit more here like what & where we have to make changes so that ‘Red’ circle appears for the player if he/she is trying to hit Black Ball before potting all the assigned balls.

Let me know if there is any confusion. I will load another video.

1. The shot was legal but player1 didn’t pot any ball so he lost his turn and player2 had his turn. This is standard rule in pool

3. Open CueController.cs, find DrawTargetLines() function and replace it with the code from attachement. You can also adjust it later if you want by editing two long if(){} statements

Thank You for providing the code. Will implement and let you know the results.

On 1st point, there is confusion between our understanding. I completely agree with you that Player1 didn’t pot any balls so the turn has changed to Player2 but the issue is Player2 is able to move the cueball (White Ball), which happens when the opponent commits the foul.

Video – Notice that at 1.02, Player2 is able to move the cueball.

Let me know if you’re unable to understand the issue here.

Ok, I found issue, it happened only in offline mode. To fix it open CueController.cs and in setTurnOffline() function find this line:

 
if (!GameManager.Instance.iWon && !GameManager.Instance.iLost)

and change it to:

if (!GameManager.Instance.iWon && !GameManager.Instance.iLost && GameManager.Instance.faultMessage.Length > 0)

Hi,

I have encountered another issue. I’m seeing this issue mostly when one player joins through Facebook and other as the guest.

While playing the game, cue ball gets hidden and cue stick & direction behave in a strange way but I’m able to play the shot. Please have a look at the image.

I couldn’t find any particular pattern which is leading to this. We played 10 games in multiplayer mode (facebook & guest) and encountered this in almost 4-5 games.

 

Please have a look. We are stuck on this from last 3-4 days.

Hi,

I can’t say that for surety. I faced few more issues today when one player is logged in from Facebook and another one as the guest:

1. After breaking, the cue stick disappeared and the opponent was declared the winner. No ball was plotted in this shot and I was logged in through FB.
2. I’m assigned stripe ball but it is showing Red Sign on stripe ball and Direction sign on Solid Ball. And, if I hit Solid Ball, I get foul. Please check the attached file.

Could you please do a couple of test play, you will notice these bugs for sure. I didn’t try any fancy stuff, just the normal gameplay. Try these login combinations – (Facebook – Facebook, Guest – Facebook)

How do I take Ball in Hand to move cue ball? Should I double tap on the cue ball for that?

I also faced issues with FB login today. I tried reinstalling the app from the website as well. I think, there might be something down at FB side. Will check this again tomorrow.
