OK, thanks. I’ll check again shortly. What is your suggested interval to click on Play on each phone? I’ll also try your suggestion. If Player A clicked on Play, when should Player B try to connect in order to join as Player A’s opponent?

No luck. I tried 3 to 4 times. Restarted my phone and internet, tried again but no luck.

 

Connecting is fast, all other things are good but matchmaking is not working for me.

I’m wondering how this game is working for you with matchmaking. I re-installed the game and even tried on my different phone. It is confirmed that matchmaking is not working. At this point, I’d request you to revert the IDChanges that you made because that’s the cause of this problem.

 

You are welcome to test your game with other people. Ask them to download from your given demo link. I am sure about it. Or the best thing to do is to revert the ID changes. With this version, I am satisfied with the connecting time, it’s fast but unfortunately you did something wrong with matchmaking.

Hey!

 

I have one good news and one bad news.

 

The good news is, matchmaking is working perfectly. I’m impressed by the speed of matchmaking. Increased limit of CCU also increased the speed of matchmaking it seems.

 

The bad news is, my suspect about “Rematch” button was right. I did the following:

 

– I started the game with my two phones “London”, in order to quickly find the bugs, once the ball was assigned, I knowingly potted the 8 (black) ball to the pocket to lose the match from Phone B. When I did, Phone A won the match and Phone B lost the match. Phone B had the “Rematch” button and when I pressed that “Rematch” button from Phone B, it notified Phone A with “I want to play again!” but Phone A didn’t have any “Rematch” button to accept the challenge, all he had were some chat options and back button.

 

I thought maybe it’s the issue with London board. I played Sydney and did the same just to find out that it is not related to boards. It has something to do with the coding of photon or playfab. Earlier, you told me that rematch button was due to CCU in your opinion but I don’t think so, because you just increased the CCU limit and all other things are running smoothly. I truly believe that it’s a very minor issue for the great developer like you.

 

Honestly speaking, I am impressed by your work. And your support has been amazing. I don’t see any reason to NOT buy your game :)

Did phone A have enought coins to enter room again?

 

If not then button will not be visible as player didnt have enought coins to enter match again

There are only 2 statements that disable that button:

1. Opponent disconnect from room

2. Player doesnt have enought coins to enter room

Your game stuck and hangs a lot. I tried your demo apk file in bluestacks. It hangs a lot. Nothing is smooth (like when I hit the ball, it hangs even though the mode was training mode). What is the solution? Is it only me or you realize that it has hanging problems?

Hi man,

 

The demo game worked much better on my mobile phone so I guess emulator was a problem.

 

But there are few problems:

 

– It took 3-4 minutes to get from “Connecting…” to “Menu” page. FYI, my mobile’s ram is high and storage is 32 GB. My internet connection speed is as high as 10 mbps. I have other games installed on my phone like miniclip 8 ball pool, ludo star, archery king. They all work perfectly “no loading issue”. Mate, can you tell me what’s the issue? or could you fix the app and give the demo file again? I’ll greatly appreciate that. OR at-least tell what’s the issue.

 

– Another problem is, the stick/cue is not as smooth as 8 ball pool miniclip. It fluctuates a lot when we swipe the fingers on screen and moves very fast. Also, the indication of “where the ball will possibly hit” is much bigger. I believe that these things can be customized. The first issue might be the issue of mouse sensitivity and the second problem might be related to some coding.

 

Thumbs up for the great clone. I really loved your demo game. I want to go ahead with your product and before I proceed, I’d love to solve the problems.

1. There could be photon or playfab server lags at the moment. I dont know. Normally it takes about 5 seconds to load

 

2. These can be adjusted via code. Cue sensitivity / indicator size

I think that there was max CCU reached for Photon that is why you had to wait so long for free slot (For pool i have limit to 20 concurrent users because i don’t want to pay for photon). If you want to see how fast it it install Ludo Masters (my other game). There I have unlocked no-limit CCU so there will not be any issues (It works 100% same on pool). Im 99% sure it was an issue.

OK, though no one contacted me so far.

 

To the Author,

 

I tried your game again and played for like 30 minutes. Though you are probably right about “Connecting..” issue which used to come while opening the game but what about:

– When I clicked “Play” and it said “Waiting for player takes some time etc” and I clicked on “Back” button. As soon as I clicked that button, the game turned in “Connecting…”, it took like 2 minutes to get back to menu page. Is it also due to CCU thingy? I checked your ludo game and that one is also good, no loading issue with that one but I don’t know why I am having loading “connecting…” issue with this one.

 

– Also, the exit button is missing in your game. When I used “exit” or say “back” button of my Android phone, it was not giving any option to exit. I had to click “home” button of my Verizon Droid Android phone and only then I was able to exit BUT the application process in my phone was running. I had to go in process to exit from the game.

 

There were 1-2 things that I am probably forgetting but I’ll post about them soon. Could you please explain about the 2 mentioned problems?

1. Yes this is due CCU also. When you leave room (back button in waiting for players) you are again connecting to photon Master server so same issue occour. Believe me – it works 100% same as ludo. You did test it so you know it works fine for ludo

 

2. I didnt implement this feature to exit game but its like 3 lines of code. Very simple to add

Balls are just unity spheres with 2D textures

 

Table model was designed in blender but I implemented it little hacky way so look of table is Just simple 2D top view image. As simple to reskin as any other 2D game
